Unadilla Valley Sports Center - New Berlin, NY Although I did not have good finishes this weekend. I felt like it was a success. I qualified easily, and had good speed and starts. I just couldn't keep myself off the ground. I am looking forward to southwick! |

RedBud MX - Buchanan, MI - Update Sorry this update is a little late, I've just been frustrated. I didn't qualify for RedBud. First practice was really thick and muddy. All the lap times were faster in the second practice. But, I crashed broke my clutch lever and smashed my throttle cable. Then AMA deleted my fastest lap time for stopping on the track. I tried to explain I stalled it because I had no clutch lever, but they wouldn't hear it. So that sums up my weekend. I'm just going to get ready for the next one I guess. |

Thunder Valley Motocross - Lakewood, CO - Update Colorado went pretty well. First moto I got a decent start and was battling for 20th position. But, I had a dumb fall. I finished the moto pretty far back. The second moto there was a massive pile up in the first corner. I avoided it, but got slowed down a little. The track was one of the roughest I've ever seen. I rode smart to keep from crashing, and rode to a 26th. Overall it was a pretty good day. |

High Point
Raceway - Mt. Morris, PA
- Update
High point was good and bad. I rode really well in
qualifying. I qualified with a 27th overall so I had a
decent gate pick. First moto I got a decent start and
rode top 20 for the first 4 laps. I stayed in the top
25, twenty minutes into the race. About 22 minutes in,
I got together with someone and went off the track and
crashed. By the time I got going I was way back.
Second moto it had rained and the track was nasty. I
got a really good jump off the start and was in the top
15, but in the second corner out of nowhere, I got
plowed by Mike Alessi! He sent me swapping out of
control into the rest of the riders where I ended
up falling and getting run over a few times ha ha. The
track was a mess and I was way back. So I decided to
call it a day and save myself and bike for next
weekend.

Freestone Raceway - Wortham, TX - Update Just got a minute to breathe and send you an update from Texas. The race went pretty well in my mind. My starts were good even though I had horrible gate picks, because I can't seem to ride fast in practice haha. I rode really well in the top 20 in both races. But crashes and off course detours kept me from finishing as well as I would like. I feel like the race was a success because I showed myself that I am capable. Now I just need to put all the pieces together and do what I know I can do. I'm looking forward to High point, and by the way, it was ridiculously hot there! Thanks,
Cameron

Hangtown Motocross Classic - Rancho Cordova, CA
- Update
"The first round didn't really go as planned. The week
before Hangtown I got really sick. I had some kind of
feverish flu. I had such a bad fever, I just laid in
bed all day Wednesday and Thursday. Friday I started
feeling a little better, so I decided to give it a try.
I wasn't feeling to good and didn't ride very well in
practice. I decided I wasn't going to race before I
found out I had missed qualifying by 4 tenths of a
second. I am healthy now and hope nothing goes wrong
before Freestone."
Thanks, Cameron

2010 Outdoors
Things are coming together for outdoors. I am really excited for outdoors this year. It's much more my thing than supercross. I've been training really hard, and I've been building my motors for my 450s. I am not driving this year to avoid problems that may happen on the road. We have arranged for my bikes to be transported to the tracks. This will give me more time to train at home during the week, and keep me more rested. I'm riding my 08 450s, because we have the suspension and motor dailed. I should be more relaxed this year, because I have been to all the tracks before. I think the races are going to go very good this year.
I've also picked up a new sponsor. Cosworth is the
name of the company. They are originally out of the UK,
but now have shops all over the globe. They specialize
in engine building and design. They are currently
supplying three formula one
teams with engines. They just started making
pistons to sell to the public. They are helping me out
with some pistons, and since their shop is only an hour
away from me, some motor work too. They have some
really expensive specialty CNC machines for porting and
cutting
valve seats on motorcycle heads. They are going
to expand their line of product for
dirt bikes too.
Thats all I've got for now. If you could update
my sponsors with Cosworth, that would be great. Their
website is
cosworthusa.com
There's a picture of me in the dirtbike are. I'm
mailing you a cd with new pics, and videos. I'm gonna
be home between nationals now so there's no excuse for
not to send you updates. I just have time
remembering to send them when I'm not doing well.
Thanks for all your support. Hit me up if you have any
questions.
Sincerely,

January 19 2010 ... 2010 Supercross
Just wanted to update you on on sx lately. Its been
going pretty good. I made the night shows at both
Phoenix and Anaheim I. The tracks are gnarly, but
that's what I've been practicing, so I'm way more relaxed
than last year. I was a little tight and nervous at
A1, because it was my first ever night show. But it
was a great experience, getting to ride out there
under the lights. At Phoenix, I was gated all the way
right, but I got a really good hop and drive down the line.
I avoided a few pile ups and ended up in 7th! It was so
intense being up front in the heat race! On the third
lap, I took a bad line in the sand and went down, but I
wasn't too mad. I was just happy with what I had done.
Next week I think I will do even better, and possibly make
some main events.
I have a little video on youtube that a friend of a friend made for me. Check it out. Supercross Preparation |

August 26 2009 ... Red Budd As you know, budds was a mud race. They shortened the practice and only gave us one session. I ended up getting a flat in my one and only practice, and then got into a pile up in the LCQ. I can't seem to shake this bad luck. I'll just have to look forward to next weekend. |

August 19 2009 ... Unadilla Unadilla didn't go very well. I made it in as an alternate, but was placed in the B practice because I was an alternate. I tried to put some fast laps down, but a couple falls and slower riders kept me from qualifying. I started out about 8th in the LCQ, but I got tangled up with a few riders. I made it up to 3rd on the last lap, but 1st and 2nd were gone. So we ended up loading up early. Hopefully I'll have some better luck next weekend. |

Washougal
I was really excited to race at Washougal because, I
have ridden there before and knew what to expect. I got
a very good start in the first moto, and was running
somewhere around 12th. This ended though when I came
over a blind jump to land into a pile of bikes. The
second moto I got a decent start and was holding my own
around 17th or 18th. I lasted about 23 mins before I
started having a bad head ache. I started to have waves
of nausea just like I had had right after my concussion
a week before. I thought the smart thing was to pull
off and not risk further injuries. It was a frustrating
weekend. I was so close to a top twenty.

...
Millville Millville was a very different track. It had sx style jumps with outdoor roughness. In my first moto I got one of the best starts of my life. I swept the first corner from the far outside ending up in about 9th or 10th place. At the end of first lap I was in 13th, and second lap I was in 14th or 15th. On the third lap I was going for a pass on a down hill jump, hit a kicker and got spit over the bars. I messed up my bike pretty bad and received a concussion. That was the end of the day for me. I was mad about crashing but thankful I didn't have any long term injuries. We packed up our stuff and are now getting ready Washougal. |

July 5 2009
... Red Bud
Red bud went well over all. I got a great start in moto one, rounding the first corner in about 12th place. I lost a few spots and held onto 16th for about five or six laps. On lap six or seven I got a rock to my helmet which broke my mouth guard out allowing me in inhale dirt. Right after that I tangled with a rider and damaged my clutch perch making my hot start stick. I tried to finish the moto but my bike was popping, and I was forced to pull off. Second moto I got into a first lap pile up. I got up quick and just tried to pace myself and salvage the moto the best I could. I ended up going from 36th on the first lap, all the way to 23rd by the end of the moto. I was happy with this finish and know with a decent start I could finish top 20. |

Update "I'm in Nebraska on my way to Redbud. Things have been going good and bad, but overall I think I am gaining valuable experience. I have the speed, the stamina and starts. I just haven't been able to put it all together yet. When I do though I think I'm am very capable of some top twentys and maybe even some top fifteens. I now have Derek Rogers with me. He has been a big help with all the prep and driving. I am going back to California after this race. I will send you another update then." -- Cameron Rodriguez #201 |

...
Round 3, Freestone Cameron's engine arrived on Friday and he and Mason got the bike ready for racing Saturday. made the main at Round 2, Hangtown by qualifying 34th. Cameron has a great qualigfying session and was ready for the main. Unfortunately a first turn pile up in moto 1 and another in moto 2 took the steam out of the day. No worries ... the rookie year is for lessons learned. Off to High Point! |

Round 2, HangtownCameron made the main at Round 2, Hangtown by qualifying 34th. Despite running his practice bike Cameron finished an amazing 24th in Moto 1. Unfortunately the practice bike let go in moto 2 and he finished 39 giving him a 35th overall. The speed is definitely there ... just need a little luck. |

May 12 2009 ... Outdoors is coming!! Well outdoors are right around the corner, and this will be my first update with many to come. I have been dieting and training really hard for the past 3 months. I feel like I'm in the best shape I've ever been in. I think if I can keep myself calm and relaxed I can achieve my goals.
I have a new company called Eleven 10 Mods doing my motor now. I rode the bike for the first time today and the power is amazing. I also have been getting help from Tubliss. They have a tube less tire system that shaves over 2 pounds off the wheels, and allows me to run as low as 6 pounds of air. Schmidt suspension is still hooking me up with good stuff as well. I also have Jaridine exhaust helping me out with pipes.
I have been riding
almost 5 days a week since we moved out to so cal. This has
really helped me, and given me more time to work on my box
van to get it race and travel ready for the outdoors. My
dad will be coming with me to the first 3 nationals and then
its going to be me and my bro travel across the country to
the rest of the races. I'll update after glen helen to fill
you in on how my first race went. |
